Our erstwhile heroine is just a divorced gal trying to make a living in interior design pitching to eccentric perverted clients with more money than taste. Her inadvertent arch enemy is an ambitious pastry chef with a bent for the dramatic to say the least. If you've ever been to LA you'll recognize the locale's or want to go back and see what she's talking about. I wouldn't be surprised to see an LA tour of the locations of this book a la The DaVinci code sightseeing tour! A great fun read.

You heard me.
Much squabbling and one slap but no Catfight.

Not a bad novel about a creative women in midlife crisis pitching to CA 1%.
Catfight provides a glimpse into the legendary city of Los Angeles. If you've lived there or ever been there, you'll recognize that Waltzer knows her stuff. Emily & Candy are well developed characters who play out intriguingly crafted scenarios which made me anxious to see how it would end.
As an interior designer practicing in LA, I had a lot of fun reading this book. It's a real page turner, and it was fun hearing about all the crazy things some clients do. Never a dull moment in the book or the city.
Very clever melding of classic thriller and an insider's look at how the Beverly Hills crowd spends their money. If you ever wanted to throttle your irritating neighbor, this is great wish fulfillment. Funny too.
The book starts a little bit slow but don't give up because you will suddenly be transported into surprising action. The author moves effortlessly between her characters the stressed out interior designer and her demanding, uber-rich clients, to two-bit, low-life sleazeball criminals, to the gross-yet-oddly-likable annoying neighbor...all the while carefully weaving a plot that keeps you holding the book and turning the pages, Get the book and get ready for a unexpected adventure.
I even know not to put more than one (and) in a sentence. There is a lot of run on sentences. There was even one sentence that took up a whole paragraph, with three (ands) in it. This got to be too much for me. No wonder it was free.
This was kind of all over the place. It was different, that's for sure! I'm not entirely sure what I think about it. It does need a bit of editing and certainly some polish. I think there's an entertaining story here, but it needs a little help getting there.
